Activate Your Circool Account

When to use this

Use this article if your school asked you to activate Circool, you received a Circool activation link, or you want to request a secure Circool link from https://my.circool.com 

Before you start

You will need:

• A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera.
• Access to your Circool activation link.
• Your date of birth.
• Prepared to take your selfie.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Open Circool or request your secure link
   You can get started in one of these ways:
   
   
   • Open the secure Circool link sent to you by email, text message, QR code, or your school.
   • Go to https://my.circool.com, search for your school district, then enter your email address or phone number to have a secure link sent to you.
   • When you visit your school, look for Circool posters or a self-service check-in option. You may be able to scan a QR code or use a kiosk to start check-in from your phone.
2. No password needed
   Circool uses a secure link, so you do not need to create or remember a password.
3. Confirm your birthday
   Enter your date of birth when prompted.
   
   This helps Circool confirm that your account matches the parent or guardian information your school already has on file.
4. Allow camera access
   When your phone or browser asks for camera access, choose Allow.
   
   Circool needs camera access so you can take your selfie during setup.
5. Take your selfie
   Follow the instructions on the screen to take your selfie.
   
   You cannot upload a saved photo. Your selfie must be taken during setup.
6. Choose your message preferences
   At the end of setup, you may choose whether to receive email and text messages from Circool about school events and related Circool updates.
7. View your Circool Pass
   Once setup is complete, you can view your Circool Pass.
   
   Your Circool Pass includes a Circool QR code your school can scan when you visit, attend an event, or pick up a student.

What happens next

Your Circool Pass is ready to use when your school asks for it.

Your school may use Circool for school visits, student check-in or check-out, school events, approved family or friend access, and student pickup situations.
