Using Your Circool Pass for Student Check-In and Check-Out
Your Circool Pass can help make student check-in and check-out faster and safer for you and your school.
Schools may use Circool when a student arrives late, leaves early, or when many students need to be checked out after a school event.
When to use this
Use this article if your school uses Circool for student late check-in, early check-out, or approved student pickup from the front office.
Checking your student in late
If your student arrives late, Your school may offer one of two check-in options.
Option 1: Use your Circool Pass
You may scan your Circool Pass at a kiosk or show your Circool QR code to the front desk.
- Open Circool on your phone.
- Show your Circool Pass or scan it at the kiosk.
- Select the student you are checking in.
- Choose or confirm the reason for the late arrival.
- Follow the school’s instructions to finish check-in.
Option 2: The front desk looks up the student
If you do not have your Circool Pass ready, the front desk may look up your student by name and help complete the late check-in.
Good to know: Circool helps schools save time by reducing manual entry into the school information system.
Checking your student out early
If you need to pick up your student early, your school may use Circool to confirm you are approved to check out that student.
Your school may offer one of two check-out options.
Option 1: Use your Circool Pass
You may scan your Circool Pass at a kiosk or show your Circool QR code to the front desk.
- Open Circool on your phone.
- Show your Circool Pass or scan it at the kiosk.
- Select the student you are checking out, if asked.
- Choose or confirm the reason for the early check-out.
- Wait for the front office to confirm the check-out.
Option 2: The front desk looks up the student
If you do not have your Circool Pass ready, the front desk may look up your student by name and help complete the check-out process.
Helpful for busy pickup times: Circool can help schools move faster during large check-out moments, such as late on a Friday after a school ceremony, awards day, or another school event. If you are approved to check out the student, Circool helps make the process quick and organized.
Who can check out my student?
Circool uses the approved check-out list provided by your school.
Only people who are already approved on the school’s check-out list can check out your student using Circool.
If you are not sure who is approved to check out your student, please contact your school office. Your school manages the check-out list.
Good to know: Circool checks the school’s approved pickup information so the front office can confirm who is allowed to check out a student.
